Moises Norena brings mature business acumen, creativity and technology to help companies grow and differentiate. He is an experienced and creative business executive, teacher, artist, writer and mentor. He is the Director of Strategic Innovation at Allstate Insurance and previously served as Global Director of Innovation at Whirlpool Corporation. He was a lead member of the teams that established the corporate innovation strategy and processes, introduced a culture of innovation, led a multitude of innovation projects, and introduced numerous innovations to market. His work in these two organizations has significantly pleased millions of customers, contributed to the growth and transformation agenda of these two companies, and impacted thousands of employees around the world.
He is a founding member of Notre Dame University’s Certified Innovation Mentor program and has served as adjunct faculty at the University’s EMBA. He has been a guest lecturer at Northwestern University, Chicago Booth School of Business, Michigan University MBA program, Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico and Gurgaon Management Institute India. As a thought leader in the space, he has been invited to speak numerous public and private conferences around the world. His perspectives have appeared in leading publications like Bloomberg, Forbes, andFastCompany. Moises was the winner of 2013’s Harvard Business Review/MIX “Innovating Innovation” challenge.
Moises has an interest in social entrepreneurship and has supported multiple non-profit organizations including Krasl Art Center, Habitat for Humanity, YWCA, Edison Awards, and Southwest Michigan Orchestra among others.
Moises is a multi-faceted individual. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a master’s degree in Information Systems from La Salle University in Mexico City and an MBA from Purdue University. He is also an artist, a traveler, a photographer, a cook, an outdoor explorer, a music junkie, but most of all a committed family man.
